To God and Goddess

Ares, Greek god of war found time to be Aphrodite's lover though, as a fighting man, he was often away from home. He was a warrior, a man of action, preferring hand-to-hand combat rather than planning strategy. Volatile and headstrong, he was force to be reckoned with!.  : : : : : : :    The Greek god of light, Apollo, brought order and reason to the Greek Pantheon. Art, music, science, and civilization were the hallmarks of Apollo. : : : : : : :   Zeus, a sky god who was the mighty ruler of the Olympians, was a force to be reckoned with. Powerful and full of masculine energy, he took a keen interest in all that happened in his universe.    : : : : : : Dionysus, like a modern rock star, drew groupies to his side. He was the Greek god of ecstacy and knew how to win friends and influence people.   : : : : : :    Hephaestus didn't have it easy. Abandoned as an infant, the lame god had to make his own way in the world. Thanks to his considerable talents, he was soon to return to take his rightful place on Mount Olympus with the other gods and goddesses.   : : : : : :   The Greek god Hermes was the messenger of the gods and a faithful ally of the ruling deity, Zeus. As the Greek god of commerce and communication, Hermes was quite a charmer.  : : : : : :  The Greek god Hades, ruled the realm of the sleeping and the dead, the Underworld. Hewould have been quite a moody and dreary fellow except for the influence of his wife, the enchanting young Persephone who was the Greek goddess of springtime.    : : : : : : :    The ambitious Poseidon, Greek god of the ocean, is often represented holding his Triton (a triple headed fork) while standing astride the ocean waves. He was quite a force to be reckoned with.   : : : : : :
